R3finery is a London film production company for brands and individuals, led by director and DOP Daniel James Ofori-Atta.
We don't make films to fulfil a deliverable. We make them to be felt, so the right people want in: to the brand, the culture, the way of life around it. A café becomes the corner table you keep coming back to. A new car becomes the reason you take the long way home.
The work has amassed millions of views across 50+ countries and premiered in the UK, Europe and West Africa. Every project begins by finding what is already true about the brand or the person, and ends with a film that holds it.
R3finery does not add foreign elements. It removes impurities. It reveals what was already present.
Daniel James is a London-based director and director of photography. He began in photography and has spent seven years in film, leading R3finery's work from first conversation to final cut.
METHOD

R3VEAL
Find the story already there. Before anything is planned, we get to what the brand or person actually is, not what they claim or hope to be.
Output: the creative brief, built on insight, not the enquiry.

R3FINE
Remove what doesn't belong. The story becomes a plan: emotional sequencing, not plot. Where the film builds, where it holds, what the light, location, sound and casting need to say.
Output: treatment, moodboard, location and sound direction, casting.
03
R3NDER
Shoot, cut and grade it so it's felt, not just seen. The set is where craft happens: shaped light, motivated movement, performances that hold. In the edit, pacing breathes and nothing is added that isn't earning its place.
Output: the final film.
